This feels like a good opportunity to reintroduce myself. I'm a microbiologist who has worked on antibiotic resistance and the gut microbiome. I've recently moved to @cruk-si.bsky.social on the beautiful Garscube campus. I'll be using my skills to study various aspects of bacterial cancer therapy!

To celebrate world cancer day, I want to outline some of the work we are doing in @mmimic.bsky.social lab. We are interested in how Salmonella Typhimurium adapts to the tumour microenvironment during bacterial cancer therapy and how it interacts with cancer and immune cells.
