9 november is germany’s Schicksalstag (day of fate)!

all these events happened on the same day:
- 1918 - november revolution
- 1923 - hitlerputsch in munich
- 1938 - Kristallnacht
- 1989 - fall of the berlin wall

I really don't know what to do about a situation where a plurality of the group that (rightly!) takes up most government spending thinks that it is unrepresented in politics.

jaw droppingly condescending
This interview with Zack Polanski is fascinating - not because he says anything clever, but because he seems to manage to almost effortlessly antagonise an interviewer whom I assume would have started off quite sympathetic towards him.

sitting in a pitch black silent room at lewisham hospital, as the lights in the designated windowless breastfeeding room (ie a cupboard) are on a ten minute timer 🙃 not ideal when you’re stuck under a nursing baby! what a classic NHS experience

put on a playlist designed to get baby to sleep and it turns out spotify DJ merges each song into the next even if it’s in a completely different key, creating a discordant nightmare … presumably not the intention

- had a text informing me of the prescription at 5pm
- had a text telling me it was ready for pick up at 6pm

Ah this is interesting devo news. London will get an integrated settlement after all from next year.

It'll be interesting to see how the model differs in London compared to the combined authorities, and whether it'll require constitutional change in the GLA-Council relationship to make it work
