Vintage vibes for the interview with Raj Moodley.
What a great time we had talking about books and art.
She really did her homework and I love how well she knew my heart stories.
Can't wait for the interview to be up!

It was a good interview, I think, had a great time chatting to Raj.
There's a rich autumnness to the air and the sea of grass seeds. The days are still summer, but the rising and setting of the sun betrays the changing season.

Well, rugby folks, it seems we've made it to the international rugby magazines.
Trigger warning: not a single rugby scene in any of my books, just some pretty decent dogfights.

She was in love with both parts of him, the fighter pilot in uniform and the tall dark-haired young man with tousled hair who could sit with her on the lawn and speak sweet nothings to a wounded goose.

It's been quite the weekend. Had some of the most bizarre interactions of my life with what felt like stalker level obsessed fan.
It's been building for some time and it's now been blocked everywhere but will likely have some repercussions, but we'll deal with that as it happens. Oh for a dull life!

The Dewoitine D.520, one of the lesser-known aircraft we see in The Red Cross Letters.
It had an all-metal fuselage powered by a Hispano-Suiza 12Y engine.
It was used by the Vichy French in Africa and it's involved in the incident over the sea on the coast of Haifa, later in RCL.

The first edition of The Land Girl in 1940.
The Women's Land Army kept agriculture & forestry alive during wartime.
The girls usually barely had an idea of the job.
Eleanor and Christina in A Tale of Wild Geese were placed at a goat dairy with decent people, but not all girls were lucky.

Roald Dahl at Wilson Airfield, Nairobi, where he was learning to fly Tiger Moths after enlisting in the RAF.
He flew Gloster Gladiators, had a frightful crash and then after recovery, rejoined 80 Squadron in Greece.
You will brush by him briefly in The Red Cross Letters in Haifa

I got this review in a message yesterday. It's now up on Goodreads, too, and it left me on a high, misty-eyed and once again speechless. Three of you have reduced me to speechless in less than a week.

It's time to get ready to milk, and it's a soft, peachy dawn. I'm walking ankle deep through dew wet grass to check on horses and goats.
Today shall be a little quieter. There's sleep to be caught up on, but first the animals get taken care of, and there's cheese to he made.
