Research shows that long grass can increase butterfly numbers by up to 93%, so step away from the mower and let it grow for nature this summer!

I mean why wouldn't you!
We want the government to push for a rooftop revolution, including fitting solar panels on car parks.

The Times reported that Ed Miliband said “Right now, the sun is shining on hundreds of thousands of car parking spaces across the country which could be used to power our homes and businesses”.
Every new car park may have to be covered with solar panels
Solar canopies would be compulsory under proposals estimated to save £28,000 on electricity bills at an 80-space car park

Interesting pellets found alongside a path through heathland some fur and lots of dor beetles. I am thinking maybe little owl but maybe one of the corvids, not really associated with an obvious perch.

Bit of a detour to explore King Arthur's Cave, where among other things bones of hyena, lion, and wooly rhino were found!

After my recent stained glass fun spent some time looking at and trying to capture the sunlight coming through the new beech leaves, didn't manage to quite capture it on my phone, but then came across this sign encouraging mindfulness in the woods which is a fab way of thinking about it.

Morning in the woods checking some boxes as part of NDMP and actually had some dormice this time. Lots of tit nests and some wood mice too. Along with Solomon's seal and town hall clock.
