Eloquence and anger. Very well put.
The cuts to disability support are cruel, immoral and unethical. It’ll make already vulnerable people poorer, less independent and more isolated. After fighting to get rid of the Tories for 14 years, what was the point if Labour are going to do this?

It's not easy for an NGO to cut itself off from the public it depends on for support, but principles matter and leaving X is the right decision.

Please give us a follow and share this on to help us build a new community in Bluesky.

Absolutely the right call. Honestly, what other course of action could possibly be justified?

This US administration will have zero interest in Ireland, and kissing up to them will achieve nothing for Ireland.
As an Irish political party we can’t in good conscience go to Washington for St Patrick’s Day this year.

Ireland has a proud history of solidarity with Palestine.

The values of the SDLP are simply not compatible with what we’re seeing and hearing from Donald Trump on Gaza.

Heroes come in many guises.
As the local MLA, and proud supporter of local baking, brewing and real ale, I consider it my solemn obligation as a public representative to call in and try a pint of both.

Our future is in Europe 🇪🇺

The SDLP is working to ensure people here can access the full wealth of opportunities the EU can provide.

As the most pro-European party in the North the SDLP is determined to restore NI's place in Europe in a new Ireland.
