Three of my colleagues sent me a 38-second clip of the updated VFX and SFX I requested. I’ve replayed it countless times. The talent of the devs I work with is unreal — I seriously have to pinch myself sometimes.

Google photos being GOAT again. Reminding me of when we had to remove the AI Troopers from SWBF2 Capital Supremacy and how the community wanted them back. Still fully believe that you can get an amazing MP FPS experience with both players and AI

Watched one colleague try to outflank another colleague during the playtest, only for the flanking colleague to be decimated by a pixel perfect shot by the latter. The screams of agony from down the hall were delicious.

Spent the day at Red Pipe screaming and yelling into the mic. Drink of the day? Hot water to stop the voice going…didn’t help 😅 VO work is so fun though

Personally I’m hoping to get back to a place where game developers and fans can interact as a community, discuss the good and the bad, and do it all from a place of good intentions.
Game developers are among the millions of users leaving X and signing up for Bluesky.
X had previously been a critical hub for devs to market their games, network, and share creative ideas.
Many hope Bluesky will recreate that experience, minus the negatives

What I love about the prototyping phase in game development is that anyone can say, “I have a crazy idea, what if we…”, and you just go for it. You experiment, learn, and let the game evolve - often several times a week. It’s pure creativity.
