People are indeed having a hard time accepting SLS is the cheapest NASA LV yet
When you rewind the inflation clock, SLS has cost in 1965 dollars $2.31 billion to develop up through first launch. In 1965 dollars Saturn V cost $25.8 billion to develop. When you correct for inflation that's about $264 billion. Spread out over 12 launches that's $22 billion per launch.
