Every year my father-in-law migrates downunder to avoid the Scottish winter. This is awesome as we get free child care and I don't have to do the dishes for 2 months (I do all the cooking).

One thing I love about libraries is that we are often the last bastion of things capitalist society has decided are no longer selling and therefore no longer available. You currently cannot buy new copies of Redwall in NZ. But our libraries have copies, and my 9-year-old son gets to enjoy it 😀

One of the strangest stories of a ruined site I’ve ever come across is the one behind the Roman Temple of Augustus in Windsor, England.
