I regret to inform everyone that I am back in this dumb country. Should have stayed in Thailand. Anyway, if you need me I'm jet lagged as hell but otherwise back in the work saddle!

Just in case anyone was wondering, the fourth AA book will be called CITY OF KILLERS and it will be set in Bangkok and you all have this trip to Thailand to thank.

The next time the DNC calls my phone and asks me to make a contribution I am going to say things that would make the Marquis de Sade blush.

Come January it’s unlikely I’ll be able to afford health insurance so if you need someone who is good with word stuff and don’t mind a ton of visible tattoos and you have a decent plan, hit me up. Will work to survive.

The next text message I get from a Democrat begging for a donation, I am throwing a chair through a fucking window.

Maybe Don’t Talk to the New York Times About Zohran Mamdani
It’s remarkable, the people you’ll hear from. Teach for even a little while at an expensive institution—the term they tend to prefer is “elite”—and odds are that eventually someone who was a studen…

Hate that we live in a world where the common person loses their entire shit over what will happen to the millionaires and billionaires. Like we need those taxes they’re not paying in the first place. Anyone who defends the rich is a shill and a dope, full stop.
New York millionaires: threatening to flee the city since 2009

Wandering the Chiang Mai night markets. An Indian man tries to pull me into a custom suit shop.

Him: “Where you from boss?”

Me: “New York.”

Him (points at me and smiles): “Mamdani!”

And we got people out here telling us this election isn’t historic.

As excited as I am to read stirring stories of Mamdani’s win, where are all the scathing takedowns of Cuomo? I want to read about how he is an embarrassment and a failure and his career is over. I want to inject that feeling into my VEINS.

As a born and bred Staten Islander I am begging everyone to remember there are some good people in the borough who are down for the cause and we hate this as much as you do but we’re trying.

Fellow authors:

What is a *reasonable* deadline to get someone a blurb?

So, like, what's the cutoff—when does the ask become borderline disrespectful?

For me, unless it's a special circumstance, anything less than a month.

Yay!
Just finished reading THE MEDUSA PROTOCOL by @robwhart.bsky.social and it's fantastic. I loved the first book in the series, ASSASSIN'S ANONYMOUS, but this one might have been better. Check them out if you haven't.

An important, necessary read. If nothing else to show what an absolute fucking blight the Republican Party has become.

You should read EL James and Stephenie Meyer and Colleen Hoover and James Patterson and Dan Brown. You don't have to like them but they've sold more books than you. They know something you don't.

I had to look up who Lee Greenwood was and here's the first thing that popped up:

"Greenwood is married to former Miss Tennessee USA Kimberly Payne, his fourth wife but fifth marriage, who is 25 years his junior."

So, that tracks.
Mike Johnson isn't happy that Bad Bunny is performing at the Super Bowl: It sounds like he's not someone who appeals to a broader audience. There's so many eyes on it. A lot of young, impressionable children. In my view, you would have Lee Greenwood or role models doing that. Not somebody like this.
