I'm so surprised by the number of people who seemed to already hate USians taking this opportunity to kick us when we're down. If I see one more passive-aggressive bitch saying that we're Russians now, that we betrayed Ukraine, that we brought all this on ourselves... are you just eating popcorn?
Some fucking people, am I right?

Peaceful civil disobedience.

Civil disobedience may be appropriate when:
* The government asks you to violate your faith or conscience
* There are unjust laws that diminish the lives of others

One hour to go... 2pm EST
U. S. District Court Judge Dale Ho will hold a hearing tomorrow on whether dropping the federal prosecution of NYC’s corrupt mayor is in the “public interest.” It isn’t. Deference to DOJ is required. Abdication of judgment isn’t. If ever there was a case in which the judge should say no, it’s this.

We know conclusively that at least half the Republicans in Congress strongly disagree with Trump’s foreign policy statements and positions just by comparing their statements with his - which are diametrically opposed.

Will ONE of them have to courage to speak up & say something?

…if you have any.

-Write to your news orgs and ask them to use “Trump administration” instead of “US” in headlines when applicable. Eg: “Trump administration abandons Ukraine.” Support for 🇺🇦 is still high and the perception that it isn’t is consequential.

-Ask news orgs to cover our protests.

What could go wrong? I mean, like, what else could go wrong? How many other things could they possibly screw up? Is this rhetorical? I don't know. Is it?

The problem with Social Security isn't "fraud" like some might have you believe.

The problem with Social Security is that as the rich have gotten richer, more of their income has escaped the cap on the SS payroll tax.

We can fix this by scrapping the cap.
How the Super Rich Are Killing Social Security | Robert Reich
Social Security taxes are rigged for the rich — and the program is in danger because of it. A CEO earning $20M/yr pays Social Security taxes on ~1% of their income. Meanwhile, a normal worker pays Social Security taxes on 100% of their income. How does that make any sense?

I learned about muzzle velocity at university during forensic ballistics, and hearing the term again in this social engineering context bothers me. And the rest is equally enough for most of us to agree he has a v punchable face, in case you never previously considered it
