Saw 28 Days Later: The Bone Temple this evening. Really enjoyed it - very tight and sometimes mad. You can read as much subtext as you like. I suspect many non-UK/Irish audiences will miss the Jimmy Saville stuff. Ralph Fiennes puts in some shift. Worth a watch - unless very squeamish

As we collectively bask in the glow of Jessie Buckley's brilliance, let us remember the gorgeous album she casually recorded with Bernard Butler back in 2022. For All Our Days That Tear The Heart is just beautiful. There's nothing this woman can't do

It's strange to read about yourself in the 3rd person! Back in December I sat down with the wonderful Rebecca Graham of @siliconrepublic.bsky.social for a chat about my work on academic podcasting, science communication and the research I'm doing with Owen Conlan towards my PhD #podcasting #research

Will #Eurovision recover from this? The EBU have demonstrated complete hypocrisy. I hope more countries follow the example of Spain, the Netherlands and Ireland.
Eurovision's motto is "United By Music", but how can we be united when one country is committing war crimes?

Ireland and other countries are now withdrawing from the Eurovision Song Contest. It's time we stop whitewashing the Israeli Government's crimes against humanity

Now that the dust has settled on our Spraoi Siren Sisters show for Samhain 2025, I'd like to thank some people. To my fellow musicians (Fintan, Marc, Andy & Gav) - you're a pack of legends and it's always a gift to play with you! 1/n

Happy Halloween! I’m gonna dress up again tomorrow for our Siren Sisters Samhain Show in Waterford. Will compare with this pic from two years ago and see how much greyer the beard is 😉

This Saturday evening, we’ll complete a triptych of Spraoi Samhain shows in Waterford. The three Siren Sisters will rise from haunted shores and roam the ghostly streets of the ancient city, culminating in a musical finale at John Roberts Square. Put on your make-up and bring your dancing shoes!
