It is worth considering the strategic pressures, not just of Americans suffering, but the threat to political landscape of DJT pushing hard to end the filibuster. Moving this along relieves some that pressure and preserves one of few Dem obstruction tools. It's tactical. Nothing to do with content.
Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.

Today’s false declaration about “Antifa” is tomorrow’s precedent for labeling anyone who dissents. That is the pattern, and it must be broken. The lesson is plain. Beware of rulers who need enemies more than they need citizens. Stewardship stands opposed.

What we live under today is what I’ve termed Vacuum Economics: instead of wealth trickling down, it gets sucked upwards. The many work harder and fall behind, while the few accumulate fortunes beyond imagination.

The promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness means little if a person is constantly forced to choose between them. A steward government does not see survival as the goal. It sees thriving as the floor.
