For 25 yrs Matthew Shepard had no resting place due to concerns his grave would be vandalized. Reverend Budde learned of this & invited the Shepards to inter him inside the Washington National Cathedral. She co-officiated the service. Matthew was now & forever home in the church where he was loved.
