A Saturday night supper from my kitchen. Orecchiette with home made basil pesto involving cashew nuts and Comté. A wee shake up to the usual green sauce ingredients usually used for a store cupboard favourite. 😋

A supper for the slightly darker Autumnal nights. Chicken and cooking chorizo with both sweet smoked pimentón & hot... generously anointed with a fresh tomato sauce made from slow oven roasted plum tomatoes... with orange and fresh parsley. 😋

Comfort food supper. 😋

A midweek supper. Shortcrust pastry tart. Crammed with Goat's cheese, roasted white onions & leeks, all generously smothered in a silkily smooth savoury custard with nutty Gruyère & crème fraîche. Baked to a fine wobble, cooled for an impatient 10 minutes, then devoured.

One more slice please... 🤪

A weekend snack style lunch.

My filo parcels stuffed with ricotta, Parmesan, spinach and basil. A duo of dips to accompany... red pepper, Pecorino, crème fraîche... and harissa yoghurt with dukkah.

My yoghurt, za'atar and olive oil flat breads. Loaded with harissa and honey chicken, a tahini and garlic dressing and lots of spring onions. Ooft!

A weekend supper…

Lamb and Za’atar meatballs, couscous with chickpeas, sultanas and Lebanese 7 Spice. Griddled Halloumi, roasted red peppers, my olive oil & yoghurt flatbreads. Some peppery rocket.

Flavour. Texture. Warmth.

A lunch from the weekend there…

A simple assembly job dish from my kitchen. Grilled Goat’s cheese, crispy salami, and a deliciously fresh mix of edamame beans, sweet petit pois & earthy green lentils, all brought together with a lemon zest, fresh dill & thyme dressing.

Midweek supper… roast cod and chorizo. Sat atop a creamy potato mash and crushed edamame beans. Generously drizzled with a chilli, parsley and dill dressing.

Going total comfort food at the top of the year… a whole baked cauliflower. Luxuriating in a triple cheese sauce, Gruyère, Orkney Cheddar & Comté. A few pinches of sweet smoked pimentón for subtle heat. Some punchy peppery watercress to finish.
