They kidnapped this five year old when he was coming home from school and sent him to a jail in Texas. Imagine how terrified he must be.
Here’s the report from KARE. The boy is five-year-old Liam Ramos.

You’re arresting terrified children and using them as bait. Arresting kids getting treatment at doctors’ offices. Blinding protesters. Illegally raiding homes. Making people terrified to leave their homes.

You want to pee in peace?

Quit your fucking job.
Border Patrol agents are very sad that everyone in Minnesota hates them.

“At each gas station where the agents stopped to use the restroom, groups of agitators appeared, yelled at them, stalked them, and even tried to prevent law enforcement vehicles from leaving…”

The answer to “How could it ever have happened back then?” is right in front of us, here & now.
This guy went to work today, put a mask on, kidnapped a 5 year old child, and then used him as bait so both he and his father could be sent behind bars

In 2017 I read Valeria Luiselli’s book about her experiences interpreting for very young children facing deportation.

The name of the book, Tell Me How It Ends, is heart wrenching to think of in this moment.
Immigrant toddlers appear in court alone

Children as young as 3 are appearing in court without their parents to plead their case to stay in the country.

In art school we went over this and actually i kinda want to add that i think men are just not socialized to care about the subtle differences in these colors.
Cause i can tell that there is a difference in those nails and in the lip sticks and greyish nails in the video. -
The scientific reason behind why women can see the difference between all four pictures and why men can't.

Spoiler alert: It's estrogen.

Gavin Newsom is just a guy who's interested in power. He's willing to entertain a dialogue with execrable people like Shapiro. This is the latest version of Bill Clinton's "triangulation". He's dangerous bc he provides a platform for ppl who aren't engaged in any good faith arguments.
Ben Shapiro: "Israel did not commit a genocide in Gaza"
Gavin Newsom: "I agree with you."

Louder. For the cheap seats in the back.
This David French article shows the analytic peril of ignoring the way normal policing and repression work in communities of color. The so-called "dual state" he's highlighting (laws applied unequally, non-compliance met with violence) is *exactly* what Black Lives Matter was protesting.

Trump’s Own Advisers Suddenly Unnerved as ICE Raids Take Horrific Turn
So the president doesn’t like the “optics” of what ICE is doing. But there’s no such thing as sanitized, popular mass deportations—and this is by design.

An administration that just didn't GAF. These people are all evil.
BREAM: Is the FBI investigating the ICE agent who shot Renee Good?

BLANCHE: What happened has been reviewed by millions of Americans bc it was recorded. We investigate when it's appropriate. That is not the case here. We are not going to bow to pressure. So no, we are not investigating.

The problem with ICE is not insufficient training or even training content.

It’s creating an agency where you give people guns and tell them to terrorize Brown people and then recruit people excited to do that.

I'm missing the Kerry James Marshall exhibit at the @royalacademyarts.bsky.social in London, but I bought the catalog. Well worth it bc the interview with him is gold.

Here's one of the quotes that resonated.

Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

An example of bad "rebranding": Going from "Philadelphia Museum of Art" to "Philadelphia Art Museum".

As a former cultural institution leader, I can't help but think of the resources that were ultimately wasted on such a negligible change.
