Welcome to Brexit, American style.

Remember Brexit?

You know, that wee referendum that passed with a slim margin, 51.89% in 2016. It deadlocked in Parliament providing the slimmest of chances that maybe, just maybe cooler heads would prevail and the UK would remain in the EU.

Are all the ICE agents we have seen actual trained law enforcement or just a bunch of contractors with the 8 hour Goon Squad course under their belt.

I have become so cynical when it comes to the political scene these days. All the well fed talking heads do is say how outrageous some trump policy is and the discussion is how it is good or bad for a political party. The politics of perception above all else.

Old friend recently asked me about a mix tape a made her decades ago. I knew the one. Replicated often. One side Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, Lost in the Ozone. Other side was Ozark Mountain Daredevils It's Alive. Guaranteed to make you dance or at least add a giddy up to your step.

My neighbor over the hill is home from work and blasting a ton of ammo. He would be better off painting his house or getting all the junk out of his yard. Always crying about having no money.

One the finest piece of vinyl, ever. I still own the one I bought in 1977 when at university.

And of course Marco Rubio, also in the chat, got every single Democratic senator’s confirmation vote. It was unanimous for him. Ridiculously.
Worth pointing out that Trump's CIA director John Ratcliffe, who was in the Signal group chat, and who ludicrously tried to defend it in Congress this week, was confirmed with the votes of 21 (!) Senate Democrats.

Ridiculous.

Pete Hegseth is a f*cking liar. This is so clearly classified info he recklessly leaked that could’ve gotten our pilots killed.

He needs to resign in disgrace immediately.

An awesome hoodie just arrived. Made in Ukraine to support Ukraine. You can get one too. Trump may roll over for Putin. Ukraine will not. Slava Ukraini!

What’s the difference between Foster Brooks and Pete Hegseth? Brooks pretended to be a drunk and was funny. I would trust Brooks as Defense Secretary. Hegseth probably wakes up everyday is a puddles of piss and vomit.

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

Remember when ammo sexuals caressing their firearms touted themselves as ready to stand against tyranny with their 2A rights? Where are they now?

The first time I was served coffee in Paris I thought I was given rocket fuel. I acclimated. When I returned home I realized the coffee I had been drinking was tepid crap. Changed my routine. Savoring my double shot to start the day watching birds.

Geese landed on the pond last week. Three wood ducks just showed up. Two males and a female. Spring is springing.

Do know what disappoints me? Spending my life as a democrat and have to stomach what my senators did today. I tired of them taking my vote for granted. I know Mr Smith goes to Washington is Capra pablum but I would a least appreciate a reach around. And a whisper in my ear that I’m pretty.

Lee Zeldin(Chud-NY) decided that somehow nonprofits dealing with green energy may be criminal. I volunteer a LOT for Habitat. Yes, everything we do is focused more on sustainability. Not just energy efficiency but also in building materials. Fuck Zeldin.

Chuck Schumer is a rebranded Merrick Garland. When we needed bravery to stand for democracy in America we got dudes hoping white spats would make a comeback. Out of touch and in the way. Afraid to ruffle feathers inside the beltway.
