Recipe: 3-4 thinly sliced russet potatoes. 1 onion thinly sliced 5-6 sliced cloves of garlic 8 oz/225g medium cheddar shredded 8 oz/225g sharp cheddar shredded 6 oz /170g Parmesan shredded. Skald the milk, onions,&garlic in a pan, season with salt, pepper, and fresh nutmeg to taste. Put a layer of potatoes in the pan, spread half the onions and garlic, cover 1/2 sharp cheddar, and half the Parmesan, pour 1/3 of the milk on. Repeat with another layer. Add a final layer if potatoes, pour remaining milk spread the medium cheddar. Bake at 350F/180C for about 45 minutes or until potatoes are done. Cover with foil if it browns to quickly and continue to cook. Let cool 15 minutes before serving.
