We build vehicles that weigh 9000 pounds with 1000HP, can go 0-60mph in 3 seconds and market them recklessly.

We then ask people to wear construction vests to cross the street. This is all so beyond absurd and it's truly incredible that we've normalized this.

Agree. I got it too. (And it’s nice to be in it…)
Got Owen Hatherley’s Modern Buildings in Britain for Xmas, and boy is it good. Not only an extraordinary achievement in its scale and scope but consistently brilliant in its observations. Describing Peter Cook’s Bournemouth Art School building as “Rave Grandad”, merely one of many favourites.

If it takes 10 years to rejoin the EU, then if we start today, we'll be back in 10 years. But if we wait a decade, it will take 20 years.

Except that it won't, because we will have had 10 more years of diverging. So it might take a quarter of a century.

Start today please. We owe it to the future.

There's nothing remotely progressive about Angela Rayner's green light to developers to build even more car-dependent, poor quality housing and do even more damage to one of the most nature-depleted countries on Earth.
