I hear Trump doesn't like TV editing which makes him say things he didn't. So here's 100 lies he did tell, on camera; debunked.

I dare say the ever transactional Trump has underestimated how protective and defensive *most* Brits are about the BBC - not to mention how their own licence fees are spent. I don't think threatening litigation of $1bn (actual LOLZ) is going to ingratiate him to UK public that aren't "on his train".

This is brilliant from Patten. Prescott would have us throw black people under the bus, trans people under the bus, the people of Palestine under the bus; his evaluation appears to be just as Lord Patten suggests: 'the BBC isn't mean enough about my enemies, and doesn't reflect my own prejudices.'
SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?
November 10, 2025 at 11:29 AM
Okay. Having read these, Prescott is not a serious journalist.
Institutional capture of the BBC: Michael Prescott former political editor of the Murdoch Sunday Times - so you can guess his politics - alleges the following. All the current far right obsessions in bullet points. Laughable and totally rancid

Weird, because I've never seen one trans person brought on to speak about their experience to thoughts. Plenty of cis people have, mind.

And they only have a shouting-at-dinghies correspondent, not a 'great example of integration' correspondent.

This would have held more weight if [checks notes] Trump hadn't subsequently pardoned the violent rioters who DID in fact break into, attack, and defecate inside, the Capitol building - which led to the deaths of both rioters and law enforcement officers. The edit was stupid, but the result = same.
Altering the speech "did give the impression of a direct call for violent action," BBC chair Samir Shah admits.

You're fucked if you're allergic to eggs, and want to get a flu jab in the UK. The non egg (cell based) one is out of stock / circulation. Pretty much permanently. Which is nice.

This is really scary: even former Tory Davie, the disproportionate coverage of Reform and relentless attention to right wing anti-immigrant talking points have not been enough. Right wing networks want complete capture.

Glad that someone has finally taken responsibility for the appalling assault on democracy that was the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Slightly confused that it's the Director-General of the BBC, but what do I know?

This is both pleasing, but also wild. The Panorama edit was nuts and asking for it from Trump pressure. But Davie has simultaneously led the right wing bias at the Beeb. So, as the kids say, 6,7?
🔴 Breaking I Davie faced mounting criticism that a Panorama documentary misled viewers by editing a speech by Donald Trump

For Phillips to pretend he doesn't know the implication, didn't lead Polanski into the trap he thought it would. It simply allowed Zack to articulate what it means, its origin, & likely win more of the audience over. Own goal from Phillips who was to trying to shame Polanski for his peace 1st stance
Trevor Philips, "What is the implication of the white poppy?"

Zack Polanski, "The white poppy began after WWI, mainly from women's groups, who talked about peace and antifascism"

"So on the same day we remember the fallen, it's also about looking to the future and saying, we want a world of peace"
