To celebrate the new year, I'll do two performances one hour apart. One at 11pm on December 31 and one at midnight on January 1.
Both will consist of a tone sustained for 1/8760 of the remaining duration of the year.

I've been exploring what I'm calling "Complete-Harmony Canons", which are canons that result in all possible harmonies (once and only once, ignoring pitch doublings) depending on the number of voices and the number of pitches that are used. (examples in the link)

Do the sample values in digital audio have a unit name? And if not, can we call it a Carlson? Like, "the bass is lacking something, let's bump it up 100 Carlsons"?

I know this is a long shot, but I'm looking for station/stop schedules (trains, buses, school buses, ferries, planes...), current or historic, where there are only two arrivals and/or departures each day.

I've been trying to find the smallest hour-long MIDI file that contains a single note. I'm down to 44 bytes. Any experts out there who can help me shave it down?

According to the article "Inharmonicity of the copy of Antonius Stradivarius violin" it would take 80'20" of sustaining an open D string for the sounding 2nd partial to vary by 1 vibration from the exact doubling of the fundamental frequency.
So now I have something to look forward to doing tomorrow
