Well, we at least know that outright attacks on the capital are not illegal. By that definition I hope college students get out their pitchforks at least.

And yes, FUCK that guy.

Again, what is the constructive gain that this policy intends to achieve? It is clear that it is causing destructive loss. And the way in which it is rolled out is aggressive, hostile, and threatening to Americans working hard to solve important problems.

Is that the intent? If not, what is?

Of the NIH's $48b budget, the vast majority is provided via grant to universities and research institutions in the form of grants, $40b is given away to fund basic health research. Is that going away? That represents over a third of all university funding.

PhD students can't graduate because they can't present their research; the NIH Clinical Center can't continue clinical trials or maybe even speak to patients??, nor recruit them into trials;

The point of stopping science is… what again? Oh, right, the uneducated inherit the earth. Next we’ll start deporting PhDs, burning antibiotics along with books, and black plague, welcome back. Only then will America be truly great.

Good thought. It’s a lot harder than boycotting Meta because Amazon has so fundamentally upended retail shopping and now there are lots of things that brick and mortar just doesn’t stock. I’d be interested in a how-to boycott Amazon guide though.
