Our Democratic elected officials are not rising to this moment so most of them must go.

Any elected official who isn’t willing to organize a Project 2029 around punishing everyone in the Trump administration in order to save democracy must go.

It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by.

Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?

The Founding Fathers log back on to rewrite the Constitution—only to find a justice system powered by vibes, PowerPoint, and plea deals.

Amendment VI gets a ghostly patch update, featuring civil asset forfeiture, trial-by-media, and one woman who is very tired of explaining things to men.
Modernizing the Constitution: Lessons from a Signal Chat. Part 4.
The Founding Fathers return from the afterlife to discover what America did with the Constitution. They are not impressed. In this Signal Thread–style satire, ghosts rewrite the Sixth Amendment, arguing about speedy trials, juries, plea deals, and why PowerPoint should never be admissible evidence.

I keep mistaking stillness for mercy. It never is.
The spectrum is helical & every arrow is a boomerang.
There are nights when silence moves like prey.

River Joy September, 2025 Here, In the slant of first morning light Mangoes taste like honey and The kind of sex Gods had Before man named its master. Birds sing with abandon And a quiet grace They know what it Is to be born. And when the rain falls Giving breath To leaves That have known the time of the sun, Before the clock Domesticated it. There is a stillness We must learn anew To remember.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a steady art practice, but I’m stepping back in like it’s a residency. The Faces series has been with me since college—unsettling, familiar, honest. Now I’m pushing it further into mixed media.

Dispatches from the Void: Food for Thought
River is stepping forward to focus on art while Celia teaches. After years without a steady practice, River is reclaiming the title of artist by treating life like a residency—committing to eat, sleep, and breathe art again. Process has always mattered more than finished pieces, though some works, especially from the long-running Faces series, stand out. These portraits explore tension, unease, and the experience of being neurodivergent, particularly the discomfort of eye contact. River continues to paint faces and make photographs, and is now seeking funding and residencies to expand the series with mixed media elements such as fabric and beads, pushing the work into new dimensions. #BangkokEats #ThailandFoodie #WhatToEatInThailand #BangkokTravel #SushiLovers #ShabuShabu #ArtistInThailand #PrintifyShop #FoodAndArt
