**Day 19** A song that feels warm…

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - ‘Let’s Pretend It's Summer’ (1998)

Despite all his dysfunction, Anton Newcombe could still write a warm, thoughtful piece of music every now and then.

**Day 18** A song that feels cold…

Gary Numan - ‘Metal’ (1979)

Emotionally cold and detached. Amazing solo debut, picking up where ‘Replicas’ from Tubeway Army left off.

No one ever accused him of being a heartfelt crooner...

I guess this is what being trapped in a confined crawlspace sounds like?

**Day 16** A song you disliked at first…

Nine Inch Nails - ‘Head Like a Hole’ (1989)

I was digging Stone Roses, Galaxie 500 and Husker Du in 1989. I hated this when it came out. It was a woman who set me straight....

The Dream Academy - ‘Life in a Northern Town’ (1985)

John Candy as Johnny LaRue from SCTV, 1979/80. The character was described as an aggressive alcoholic with violent tendencies and little to no morality.

The picture of Mao on his desk always killed me.

This was his first recurring character on the show. Funny guy...
