Enjoyable evening with the university Vice Chancellor Professor Claire Ozanne, her husband Mark, Associate Dean Letizia Palumbo, the Lord Mayor of Manchester and the Consul General of Hungary, Dr Läszló Riskó-Nagy. Good cross-cultural conversation, the Holy Crown, and traditional dancing and food.

Liverpool Hope University leads in the North West for student satisfaction.

Liverpool Hope University has risen 48 places for Student Satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2026, scoring 81%. This places the institution 10th nationally and first in the region in this category.

An honour to represent the university at the Josephine Butler Trust annual commemoration at Liverpool Cathedral. Josephine Butler born 1828 was a tour de force in championing those marginalised in society through a radical Christian approach.

Marking 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz Birkenau, a Nazi Concentration Camp that contributed significantly to the Holocaust. I visited there in the last year to pay my respects. We are all encouraged to visit, to see, to learn, to understand and continue to tell this history.

Carter Preston Exhibition now on at the Creative Campus in partnership with Liverpool Cathedral. Great to see my friend Val Jackson from the Cathedral who has devoted much time to this work. Students from key subject groupings can apply for bursaries from the CP Foundation.
