On a podcast someone said:

“I don’t tell stories in emails. I send one email a month and begin it with two sentences of what I’ve been up to since the last email.”

Wait what…

So a two sentence story?

This week I’m working on a new landing page.

I’ve had my current one for far too long.

After I’ll be launching something new…

The Nouns Of Persuasion is the working title.

What’s one thing you’re working on this week?

How to write emails that sell:

1. Read everything about the market, product, etc.
2. Come up with an idea
3. Write 3 possible subject lines
4. Write the body copy
5. Make sure to include your link in the CTA

Bonus Step 6: Put 6 - 10 of these together for a campaign.

Don’t forget to backup up claims.

Even in, scratch that, especially in emails.

Why should I believe I’ll make $11,593 by using your advice?

Promises are exciting. But mean nothing without proof.

“User not found”

That’s what popped up when I tried to log into a new client’s slack.

The guy messaged me asking for email services.

He set me up with an email address. Added me to slack.

Then before we even got started he ghosted me.

Definitely the weirdest client experience.

If you want your copy to actually resonate…

Remember the nouns of persuasion:

- Person
- Place
- Thing
- Ideas

Here’s a quick tip for working each one into your copy: >>>

On Saturday, sitting at my desk, looking at one of my bookshelves.

I came across Obvious Adams.

"It's been a while, I’ll reread it now.”

Within the first few pages, I thought about how you can use the lesson in your email campaigns.

Would you volunteer to go to jail?

On 60 Days In, people volunteer to be arrested and spend…

You guessed it, 60 days in jail.

They’re looking for how drugs are getting in, staff treats inmates, and the warm welcome of inmates.

Here’s how to improve your copy & business the 60 days in way…

Have you seen a tree explode?

It’s -20 below today in Wisconsin.

And a news station issued a warning of trees exploding in extremely cold temperatures like this.

I haven’t seen it before…

And it’s the first time hearing it.

Have you seen/heard it before?

3 Top Email Myths To Stop In 2026

1. Speaking to everyone as if you’re on stage in front of a group. (Your email is read by 1 person, not a group.)
2. Focusing on you and your product. (Focus on their problems.)

Started reading Obvious Adams again today.

It’s a great reminder, don’t try to be clever.

The best ideas are instantly understandable and make people say…

“I could’ve thought of that.”

While they’re searching for the “secret” phrase to make people buy.

Are you playing it safe with your stories?

You need to inspire your prospects.

Saying they can lose 15 pounds in 6 months, isn’t inspiring.

Actually if that’s your story, your prospects are going to at least cut it in half for themselves.

So turn it up a notch and make it believable.

Baby Rixon’s First Sunday Mass

There were a good amount of people of all ages were getting ready to be baptized.

Some converting or accepting faith for the first time.

The priest was saying how amazing it is that they’ve had more people being ready to be baptized.

Are you giving your prospects what they ask for?

Yesterday we packed up the baby Rixon and headed out.

He was an angel the entire drive and inside the first store.

Until we left and he was ready for his bottle.

That’s when the fussiness started.

Positioning is only becoming more important.

Info for information’s sake is diminishing more and more.

You want to be the trusted source of experience & expertise.

Mark Ford’s prediction for 2026 with AI, digital gurus will be highly valued.

Hidden Mindset Gem:

Final Fight by Shane Hunter

I’m going through it again for the new year.

Some of my favorite takeaways are:
• Give yourself permission
• Use time you’d otherwise “waste” going out, watching TV, or whatever into time you use to reflect.

“The Greatest Sales Letter Ever Written”

• Coat of Arms by Gary Halbert
• The Wall Street Journal’s The Story Of Two Men Letter
• They Laughed When I Sat Down
• The End Of America

These are just a few marked as the greatest.

Regardless of which one is truly number one. They’re all good to study.

Copywriting:

• 40% Offer
• 40% List
• 20% Words on the page

The 20% is important, but it’s not going to save a bad offer or an unresponsive list.

At the same time, bad copy can turn off the right buyer.

“So you just paste your link here…”

“If it will load.”

I looked at the rolls recording time.

“It’s frozen… Dang it.”

My computer starts revving like a mustang on the highway.

**a Black Screen **

“Great, whatever I’ll try again later.”

I always read the covers of magazines in the grocery store…

Here’s the bullets on this month’s Readers Digest:

- The Highway Tree Decorator
- A Stranger Saves Christmas
- Our Surprise Hanukkah Baby
- The Best Worst Present Ever

Use this info as you see fit. Maybe it’ll help you write…

One guy created a wildly successful business, launched a new industry, without making his own product.

He discovered the product while traveling in Thailand.

Brought the rights to sell it in the western world.

He didn’t waste time figuring out how to build a factory and manage workers.
December 16, 2025 at 12:02 AM
You can scrap everything…

You don’t need to waste more time. You don’t need to “smooth” it out more. You don’t need to keep a tight grip on one idea.

The quicker you drop a weak idea, the sooner a better one can show up.

Could AI be blocked in your state?

The President signed an executive order to limit each state creating their own rules for AI and create one federal framework nationwide.

Well looks like a lot of states aren’t so happy about it.

Many governors came out against the executive order.
