My @bsky.app feed appears to be a roiling mass of (doubtless well meaning) Americans, all talking about stuff that aggravates them. Which in and of itself is perfectly fine, because for many this is exactly what social media is for. But it also proves that algorithms have got a lot to answer for.

Rummaging through the contents of my lockup I came across a contract and set list from a 1983 show we did at the Rock Garden (now the Apple Store) in Covent Garden. We were supporting a band called Cry, whose members included Simon Gallup of The Cure, and Matthieu Hartley, an ex-member of The Cure.

Wow. Imagine the shock for the Daily Mail when it finds out Tory plans were for fines of £5k - later reduced to £3k - for each missed heat pump sale. What Ed Miliband has done is to reduce that to £500. As @torstenbell.bsky.social says today Headline should read “Miliband slashes Tory boiler tax”
