RMT’s Action Against Assaults campaign aiming to tackle the unacceptable extent of violence and abuse faced by public transport workers. As part of the campaign, we are seeking stronger legal protections through the creation of a specific offence of assaulting a public transport worker. We believe this is necessary for a number of reasons including that it will deter perpetrators, make it more likely that cases will be prosecuted and demonstrate that the Government takes the issue of violence against public transport workers seriously. We are calling on the Government to create this...

The Mail is going to go full Farage. The Telegraph already has, to the absolute horror of the proper journalists still on the paper. Tony Gallagher at The Times is, as ever, waiting for Rupert Murdoch’s instructions. Their only alternative is to own the stupidity of backing Johnson, Brexit & Truss.

Last night, Donald Trump voiced support for sending more weapons to Ukraine.

This is probably "the most pro-Zelenskyy" stance we’ve ever heard from the president, Jack Blanchard says on #playbookpod. But that puts him at odds with many MAGA supporters.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar dined with Melissa Hortman, a Minnesota lawmaker and decades-long friend, just hours before she and her husband were shot and killed in what authorities are saying was a politically motivated killing.

“I wish everyone had known her like we knew her,” Klobuchar told POLITICO.

One wonders if he was inspired by Mission Gainsborough from this episode of Blackadder Goes Forth 👀

“I’m aware,” Carney told the protester, “That’s why we have an arms embargo.”

This has really, really upset Benjamin Netanyahu, so don't RT unless you hate him.

It was extraordinary. There is, for example, no earthly reason why a little-known radio presenter on a commercial station should have become a national rallying point for Brexit reality simply by telling the obvious truth. (He did have to step down from occasionally presenting Newsnight, though.)
😉
"I was actually here in 2017 when the then Prince of Wales visited... the year after we'd had the Brexit referendum. We weren't really allowed to mention the B-word. "Don't talk about Brexit."

Remember how we were gaslighted at the time for pointing out that journalists were avoiding the issue? ~AA
