The #Faversham Fleur de Lis Museum re-opens tomorrow from 11am - 3pm and a fabulous exhibition is ready to kick off the year.
The The Kent Archaeological Society community excavation at Front Brents, Faversham exhibition will run until the 18th April.

Got my copy of @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social Everything Will Swallow You the other. Fortunately I have quite a pile of books on the go, coz Henry is a slow reader and keeps getting distracted by the lovely cat bookmark. He may be a while yet, the idiot.

So today (26 January) is the 100th anniversary of the first demonstration broadcast of television by Logie-Baird. It's also the 50th anniversary of the first broadcast of the colour version of Ivor the Engine. So, today at least, Ivor (in colour) has been around for exactly half the life of TV

Made my first visits to Glasgow on a couple of occasions in the last year. Had a great time exploring the city and seeing so much great street art in all corners. Why spoil it with this slop?

Learned of Terry Yorath's death a couple of days ago. Had the pleasure of meeting him a number of times (and Gabby on occasion) in Henry J Beans bar in Beirut in 1996 when he was managing the Lebanese national team. He was always friendly to us even though we were a lairy bunch of Archaeologists

Boxing day ride around Balderdale and onto Goldsborough Rigg #Teesdale #NorthPennines
My mountain bike laid on its side on the top near the edge of the stone plateau of Goldsborough Rigg with Blackton Reservoir in the distance An old stone trough of some sort sits randomly on the top of the Rigg hidden amongst the grass. I've no idea what it was doing there A black and white selfie of me in fetching mountain bike gear including helmet and sunglasses (sitting on the helmet). #Saltburn (on Sea, not the TV thing)
