Siegecaster, an active skill-based siege defense game, is available now! This was a personal project created with a small team, and my friends say, "I was playing it to be polite, but then it was four hours later, and I actually liked it!"

Getting the word out is still hard, so all RTs appreciated!

All right #RevPit authors, if I provided feedback on your query package for #10Queries you should have received an email from me.

Thanks again for your patience!

Results are coming in today. Don't stress. If you've paid attention to all the feedback the editors have given on QLs and FPs, you've already won. You're armed with more information now than you were at the start. Celebrate & congratulate those who've been chosen to move on!

It’s official! I’ve submitted my winner and runner up information for #RevPit. Being an editor for the contest is a total dream come true, and I’m so grateful. Can’t wait to start working on a manuscript I love and need to see represented. 🤩

My old chess instructor told me “Winning gives you confidence, but losing gives you experience. You have no incentive to study your game after a win, but LOTS of reasons to do so after a loss. You benefit far more from failure.” Good advice

So here's a question I've wondered about. Say, hypothetically, by the time you're ready to start sending out query letters to agents, you've already had your manuscript professionally edited. Maybe development editing or line editing. Should the query letter mention this?

Patrick Rothfuss. Because he can write a ten page description of a dude playing a lute, and it's somehow riveting.

"Imagine a city built as a shrine to a Depression-era cartoon mouse. Then hand the city council over to a bunch of neurotic busybodies fresh off the set of Desperate Housewives. You get the picture. Orlando, was a nest of Desperate Mousewives."

Hi #revpit!

This is a totally community-made game that I thought might be fun while we’re waiting!

I’ll post more explanations every day which you can QT if you’d like. Maybe we can make some long-lasting book friends on the way and keep company while #revpitwaiting!

Querying is an interesting process. It seems like it requires a totally different skill set than the actual writing of the book
