A well-connected Russian ex-cop rewrites an old Polish RPG to be about his political enemies (the libruls.)

Somehow, the story turns out bizarrely good.

"Art" really is a reach. Most porn games on Steam are uninspired cash grabs. Valve should have stepped in and curated their store way sooner.

Steam used to be known as a place that had quality games. Remember the fuzz people made over objectively bad games slipping through the Greenlight process?

I've owned dozens of keyboards and hated most of them. Here's how I ended up with the keyboard I should have bought years ago.

"I asked grok" "I asked chatgpt"

I asked Hakunin and he said "Chosen, the spirits of our ancestors guide me to world of dreams that I may touch thoughts. Our village suffers without the holy GECK. Your hands hold our lives as a father holds his children."

Have been playing Morrowind, a game I used to really dislike, but with mods it’s actually really great. I’m even planning the RP details for my next playthrough lol

I've had my eyes on the HHKB since at least 2015, and finally got one today. It's so good, I can't believe I didn't get one before.

I love being the guy going "eeerm akchually Linus just wrote the kernel" whenever people act as if he wrote the entire OS

Cleaned out some of the old hard drives and SSDs that I've saved from my previous computers. No forgotten treasures, but I did find a full PC-BSD system from 2015.

Reworked my website a bit. Finally pretty content with the styling, but I'll probably find reasons to fiddle more.

I love when a program hangs in Gnome and they ask if you want to force quit it, but instead of force quitting it remains open for another three minutes while asking you the same thing another five times.

I'm probably the last person in the world using the GNU Mailutils in 2025, but I can't compile them on Fedora anymore so that sucks. All the alternatives seem needlessly complicated and I hate that.

one final note, because (as per usual on this site) things get taken extremely out of context.

no, posting is not praxis. it just isn't. you can come on here and yell at each other about X, Y, or Z topic all day long and nothing outside here will change.

I wish you could deprioritise programs in krunner, or blacklist them completely. The number of times I've launched Discover instead of Discord because I'm so used to typing "disc <enter>" on Gnome is just nuts.

pewdiepie attributing linux, the operating system, to linus torvalds is just so cringe. just take a moment and study what you're making a video about before making it, jesus.

I just put three hours into Oblivion and it felt like ten minutes. I can't really describe how much I loved this game back in the day. Seeing it remade *well* just makes me happy.

i've been maining gnome since the days of 3.6. decided to try kde for fedora 42, and i actually really like it. when i last used it, it felt really clunky and buggy, but it seems they've improved that lately.
