I’m far enough from retirement that I can probably weather this storm. I’m afraid to look at my sons’ 529 plans. This is an effed up country. You struggle to keep your head above water and hope that your kids will do better than you did. Then some dunce comes along and ruins everything.

Boiling sap today. It’s not the most efficient way to boil, but I don’t have a sugar house. I do have maple trees that I tap every year though & produce 7-10 pints of syrup each year this way.

March 11, 2020 was the start of the COVID-19 shutdown in the US. It was scary. I disinfected the ambulance after every respiratory call, wore a mask even in the station, and worked vaccine clinics. The Trump admin is like a new virus that will test us. We’ll take action, and we’ll get through this.
