How tragic is it that we are finally seeing cracks as those who didn’t care if their neighbors were brutalized, are now they are learning that it can happen to them as well.

I wish that America was a country who cared when grandmothers were dragged out of their cars, families terrorized, people put into camps, books burned, hundreds of thousands fired from their jobs, boats blown out of the water and pockets lined.
But we are not. We don’t care until it happens to us.

Hurricane Melissa has made landfall in Jamaica as a CAT 5 storm. Catastrophic winds and rain, possibly up to 40 inches. Major landslides are expected. Please spare a thought for the Jamaican people affected by this nightmare.
