Now, here’s an idea I can get behind: tax private jets and high-priced commercial jets extra money at the airport (to land and take off), with the money raised going to help nations adapt to warming climates. Yes, it’s essentially a wealth tax, that’s one of the things I like about it.

When I first learned about the impacts of #ClimateChange, I realized this was ultimately an issue of war and peace. Changing climates would change where food could be grown and where potable water would be available, which would lead to mass migrations, which could easily lead to war.

Now that Prop 50 passed in California, I expect the Trump administration to change their “mind” again and “surge” immigration officers and national guard troops to California, including the Bay Area. It is important to know your rights, and the ACLU has helpful explainers.
