Homer S. Brown moved from Virginia to Pittsburgh in the early 1920s to study law. In 1934, he was elected to the PA House of Representative where he served seven consecutive terms.

With reverence and gratitude, we say farewell to Reverend Jesse Jackson - one of the most courageous civil rights leaders in American history.

In 2024, Reverend Jackson visited the PA House to talk about the importance of voting rights. I am proud to stand with his legacy for the right to vote.

Reverend Leon Sullivan was a civil rights leader who worked for creation of job opportunities for African Americans. He and his wife moved to Philadelphia in 1950 where he became pastor for the Zion Baptist Church.

Thanks to Gov. Shapiro and our efforts in the PA House, the hit Netflix show "Tires" has returned to West Chester to film its third season. The production was awarded over $6 million through the Film Production Tax Credit Program.

My staff member Ryan had a great time attending the Housing Partnership of Chester County's "Fixer Mixer" event last evening. Demonstrations on home plumbing, electricity, and carbon monoxide detection were very informative. It's important to know how to keep your home safe!
