Republicans couldn't be bothered to restore vital health care benefits for working families in their rotten budget, but they did sneak in a provision that would give millions in taxpayer dollars to a handful of GOP senators. This is corruption, plain and simple.

This spending bill is a slap in the face to the tens of millions of Americans set to lose access to health care. I voted NO.

While Republicans are happy to ignore this affordability crisis, our work will not stop. I'll keep fighting to restore ACA benefits and lower costs for working families.

Welcome to the House, Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva!

After more than 7 weeks of Speaker Johnson blocking Rep. Grijalva from being sworn in—all to prevent a vote to release the Epstein files—I'm thrilled to work with a dedicated public servant ready to fight for the people of Arizona!

America’s veterans embody our nation’s proud spirit of service.

This #VeteransDay and every day, I extend my gratitude to every one of our servicemembers for the sacrifices you and your families have made for our country and for our freedom.

I’m a hell no on this betrayal of a budget in the Senate that does nothing to ease skyrocketing health care costs for Americans.

Today, I joined a roundtable discussion with anti-hunger advocates and SNAP beneficiaries at the Rotterdam Community Center to learn more about how the Trump administration’s failure to fund November SNAP benefits is hurting families here in our Capital Region and beyond.

Millions across the US are struggling with gambling addiction—and for every person is a universe of loved ones also hurt by this addiction.

Today I stood with some of these families to spotlight the real, human harm caused by rampant, unchecked sports gambling and what Congress must do to stop it.

Families across the nation don't know how they'll afford groceries this month.

Trump's response is to defy the law & withhold SNAP benefits from 42 million. This cruelty needs to end. Republicans must come to the table to tackle this affordability crisis, end the shutdown & lower health care costs.

A judge last week ordered the government to use emergency funds for food-assistance benefits, which were set to be suspended in November.

Millions of families across the nation are losing food assistance and facing skyrocketing health care costs – all because Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are using their shutdown to play politics with people’s lives. Read more here:

Multiple judges have just ruled that Trump must stop blocking the release of funds for food assistance.

The president needs to follow the law and do his job to ensure that the more than 40 million Americans depending on SNAP don't go hungry.

This morning, I met with Ralph - a Troy resident, a SNAP recipient, and a veteran who fought for this country - who stands to lose access to food assistance at midnight tonight if the Trump administration refuses to use its legal authority to fully fund the SNAP program for November.

SNAP benefits are set to run out tomorrow, but they don’t have to.

Today, I joined anti-hunger advocates, pantry workers, and SNAP beneficiaries in Troy to demand Trump release funds for food assistance and ensure kids, veterans, and families across our nation don't go hungry.

If this administration cares at all about addressing our nation's mental health and addiction crisis, they'll reverse their mass firings of SAMHSA workers at once.

For the millions who depend on this agency for treatment and care, this is a matter of life and death.
Trump cuts have decimated the federal addiction and mental health agency

President Trump can take action NOW to provide full funding for SNAP. That's not conjecture, it's a fact.

The GOP's refusal to fund food assistance in November is a deliberate choice to cause further suffering. Kids shouldn't go hungry because Republicans refuse to govern.
