Clean energy projects that can prove First Nations attributes —majority or minority ownership, benefit-sharing, cultural heritage, verified consent, procurement and jobs— can get that attribute on their certificate thru the Guarantee of Origin scheme.

Indigenous Peoples are facing a new wave of land grabbing and violence in the name of a “just energy transition.” From nickel mines in Palawan to geothermal fields in Flores, energy projects are imposed without FPIC, harming lands, waters, and lives.
