We could observe the impact plume from Earth, and perhaps also from orbit. If we manage to put a seismometer on the lunar surface we could learn a much about the Moon's interior.
3 to 4% chance of lunar impact, with a few tenths of a percent on the far side and the rest on the near side.
But almost all on the day side.
This would be very exciting from a science point of view 🧪🔭🛰️🚀⚒️
