Wish I could time-travel to SXSW 2025 and experience NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE all over again. God, I haven’t been obsessed with something this Canadian since Scott Pilgrim.

Better late (and 4 watches) than never. My review:

GOAT: Man, I wished I liked this more. Tyree Dillihay’s directorial debut has bleating heart and stunning visuals, baaaaaaa-uuuuut lacks the innovation as past Sony Animation fare and the game to appeal to beyond the youngest of viewers.

Really enjoyed Amanda Kramer's BY DESIGN when I saw it at Sundance last year. Juliette Lewis body switches with a chair. No seriously. It's absurd, theatrical, esoteric and sturdy...like a chair.

Hits theaters Friday. Def check it out.

For the night crowd. Beautiful gowns. beautiful gowns.
WUTHERING HEIGHTS is Emerald Fennell's worst film to date. A completely soulless, messy, misinterpretation of the source in favor for a(n even more vanilla) FIFTY SHADES reskin for the "I Can Fix Him" audience.

SIRAT hits theaters in NY/LA this weekend. Possibly one of the most unforgettable cinematic experiences you'd find in a theater this weekend. Electric, exhilarating, and explosive. Wish this would've gotten a Dolby release.

I think THE MOMENT is a real stroke of genius. Whatever water Charli xcx and Aidan Zamiri held during Brat’s impact and aftermath is spilled through this hilarious anti-commercialist metaphysical cathartic release.

Not to get religiously existential on main, but how does one even believe in a God when all he does is taketh the good ones and most talented who bring only joy and entertainment to this world but let the ones who wrought evil run free?

SEND HELP or "How Sam Raimi Got his Hehe-Horror Groove" back is a demented return to form. Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien are deliciously looney. Linda Liddle and Abigail from Triangle of Sadness would queen tf out.

Enjoyed Marvel's WONDER MAN, a buddy-comedy 'Birdman'. Was gobsmacked by the “second-gen Haitian pursuing the American Dream” rep, so this viscerally hit close to home. Albeit slightly underdeveloped it's by far the MCU's most ambitious entry in years.

My review via @ebertvoices.bsky.social:
Marvel's "Wonder Man" Builds a Bleary Showbiz Buddy Comedy For the MCU | TV/Streaming | Roger Ebert
Though its ambition surpasses its grasp, it leaves one yearning for more of this dynamic duo in the franchise's ever-inconsistent future.

MERCY, the awful Chris Pratt-led pro-AI and pro-cop wannabe MINORITY REPORT, is one of the worst screenlife films I've ever seen. We need to go back in time and prevent Timur Bekmambetov from discovering Skype.
