I’m learning that self-respect is nowhere near as accessible as I once thought.
I used to ask “how do people treat people this way?”
I’m now coming to understand that you can’t practice a principle toward others that you can’t show toward yourself, not with any authenticity or consistency anyway.

I think it’s safe to assume that the age of a predator’s “preferred” victims/partners is equivalent to their own age mentally & emotionally.
