Trump’s first 100 days have been the most consequential of any president this century & perhaps since FDR. Trump is leading a revolutionary project that aspires to remake the economy, the bureaucracy, culture & foreign policy, even the idea of America itself. www.economist.com/leaders/2025...

America’s presidency is often called the hardest job in the world. Yet Trump has found time to moonlight as a prolific social-media influencer. Since January 20th he has churned out 4,149 words a week on Truth Social and X, nearly a newspaper op-ed daily.

Given our current Supreme Court, it is frightening to think they are the last chance to contain Trump. I hope they grow a stiff spine.

Who will stop Donald Trump’s drive for unchecked power?
Congress is inert, but a deft Supreme Court might contain him

“We are all afraid” Ms Murkowski said speaking at a conference in Anchorage. After a long pause, she acknowledged: “It’s quite a statement. But we are in a time & a place where I certainly have not been here before. I’ll tell you retaliation is real & that's not right

Trump is trying to fiddle with economic data & removing the independence of the Fed. A case is making its way through the courts could make it easier for Trump to do the latter. Bad timing for a cloud to sit over the institution responsible for fighting inflation.

Are you curious about what #Trump is up to? It turns out he is #golfing. Lots of it—he has spent 25% of his time in office so far golfing. And spending millions of our dollars to do that, and playing on his courses and booking the money! Follow along at

This should give us all pause. The moment has come and it didn't take that long. So what happens when Trump tells the #SupremeCourt to pound sand? We are about to find out. We have reached the #constitutionalcrisis and now what?
Trump’s DOJ just defied a Supreme Court order to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia—wrongfully deported, now missing in El Salvador. This isn’t a delay. It’s open defiance. If the Court backs down, the rule of law dies with him. This is the moment. Act—or surrender democracy.

If we’re heading into a recession — it wasn’t by accident. This isn’t a crisis he inherited. It’s a wreck he engineered, with a sledgehammer he swung. Willfully. Recklessly. Alone. For the first time, an American president chose to break the economy.

I loved watching RepSteven Horsford (D-Nevada) grill Jamieson Greer, Trump's Trade Representative, about trade tariffs. He was boldly speaking truth to power. You don't have the S&P 500 surge 8.5% in 34 minutes every day. It does make one wonder about market manipulation.

A new, sweeping round of tariffs shocked Wall Street on Thursday, as upended economic forecasts & intensified worries about global growth sent stock markets tumbling to their worst day since the height of the coronavirus pandemic. The S&P 500 fell almost 5% its worst showing since June 2020.

One minute, she was in an immigration office talking to an officer about her work visa approved months before & allowed her, a Canadian, to work in US. Then she was told to put my hands against the wall, patted down like a criminal before being sent to an ICE center & was unable to talk to a lawyer.
