A year ago, the Aus Human Rights Commission released the first national roadmap to eliminate racism in Australia. We've joined with over 50 civil society organisations to call for the Government to fully fund and implement the National Anti-Racism Framework.

First there was one deportation of people seeking asylum to Nauru.
Then another.
Now 60 Minutes has detailed serious allegations surrounding the management of offshore detention and reception centres in Nauru.
We urgently call for a Parliamentary Inquiry into these allegations.

We oppose the Government's Nauru arrangement and Home Affairs Legislation Amendment (2025 Measures No. 1) Bill 2025, that would allow for circumventing rules of natural justice and procedural fairness when deporting people to Nauru and other 3rd countries.
