I was taller than my five younger brothers until I was 18. Since then (62 years), they always stage photos so I am even shorter. My granddaughter with two younger brothers complained when she was 7:"I hate it they are going to be taller than me."

Between US support of Israel's actions in Gaza and Trump's deployment of active-duty soldiers on US streets, some troops are ethically torn. But claiming conscientious objector status can carry a steep personal cost. This story brought to you by @thewarhorsenews.bsky.social and @motherjones.com.
Is the US military poised to experience a new surge in conscientious objectors?
For troops experiencing ethical dilemmas, following one's conscience can be costly.

It's really remarkable the degree to which the Federalist society takeover of the Supreme Court and to a lesser extent the courts of appeals has weakened the U.S. immune system against executive lawbreaking and abuse of power.

Texas was devastated by deadly floods. In the aftermath, FEMA Acting Administrator David Richardson is nowhere to be found. In any other administration, this would be an epic scandal. But with Trump, it's treated as business as usual.

The 14th Amendment was ratified today in 1868—guaranteeing equal protection under the law.

157 years later, Trump’s trying to erase it like it was a typo.

No birthright citizenship. No due process. Just Trump doing what he does best—breaking the law.
