I just paste the URL into Gemini and ask it to summarise the video for me. Makes watching longform videos so much easier and you get the info you want/need without having to watch 20 minutes of extra stuff, especially when it's made by a "rambly Youtuber" (you know the ones).
I think folks often forget about the tools #YouTube gives users to maximize their viewing experience. Keyboard shortcuts, speed watching tools, Watch Later... but most users don't know about them. Check out @oldskool.org's new video on how to get the most out of YT!

Hey @discord.com - Sudden, forced audio changes are scientifically intrusive due to auditory sensory processing differences (like hyperacusis) common in ASD, ADHD, etc. They cause sensory overload and distress by removing predictability. Opt-in is better, giving users control over their sounds.

Hate it when you have 20+ years of experience in something, you build a solution and make sure it's secure etc, then someone sends you an "I asked ChatGPT what you should do, make sure these things are done" email and half of it doesn't relate to the solution, and the rest you've already done.

You know what drives me mad... people who use the term "wifi" to mean their internet connection. "I can't get wifi in my house" - yes you can, buy an access point. What you mean is you can't get AN INTERNET CONNECTION.

Until you install something that upgrades your kernel, now all your DKMS's need recompiling cos nothing works, but one won't recompile cos it's not compatible with that kernel version so that application is now no longer something you can use :P
This is one of the core things that is getting me to learn how to switch to Linux. There have been a few annoyances and challenges along the way but nothing unsolvable, and ZERO AI.
