2 questions if I may !

1: Some of the images on the site show the blue light from the bottom, and some show it from the top. Which way does the colour go ?

2: Is the amount of blue defined by the height of the water in metres, or by how "in" or "out" the tide is ?

I don't believe that to be a proper use case. Most people will have every socket filled, with extra extension leads coming off it etc. It'll have a layer of dust, and probably covered in the crust of half a can of coke :P

Use whiteboard markers - it will act as a solvent on the permanent marker making it easier to remove, but won't then add more ink to the thing you're trying to clean.
