What a night. That was some drama I did not need. Think I’m the only one left awake.
Luckily the storm has moved on, watch out Victorians. It’s a wet one. Patio flooded for a while there. Heaps of lightning too.
All good now. Cat and dog are both curled up in the lounge snoring.

Had fun with the curtains today. Both sets are up now.
Waiting on a missing finial to be replaced on one of the rods. The small metal clips should be here in the next day or two, then I can hang them properly.
It’s taken 10 years to finish off window dressings. I started with newspaper!

Power back on. Provider stated “lighting activity”. Almost every storm our power gets cut.
I’m prepared with lights and stuff. Kiddo though, it’s like someone has cut off his damn air :/

Not a fan of the dark, as I lose balance, so have a power pack always charged to run the light projector. USB powered things are great in a blackout. I’m charging my phone with an even bigger power pack. We have lots of power failures in our area. Pays to be prepared.

Thundery tonight. It’s been grumbling for about an hour. Coco is camped out in my bedroom. She was medicated earlier, so she’s not fretting, just a little anxious. Really hope we don’t lose power.

Quite a nice view from the lounge room window. Looks especially beautiful after the good rain we’re having today.
Was still too overwhelmingly bright though, and seriously cold as soon as I opened the blind. Window film is coming. Wanted to give the room a little facelift :)

Package containing curtains was delivered at 4:30am. I woke about 5am and hung them.
Waiting on some little hooks to be delivered, so I can hang them differently.
They look like nice curtains. Definitely what I ordered, which is a bonus.

9pm and Mr22 is still out. He left at 10am. He’s going to be exhausted. I’m feeling a bit like I’m crashing from the dentist trip yesterday. Think the antibiotics are giving me munchies. Still needing a big long sleep. Hopefully soon.

7pm and Mr22 is still out. It’s been quite relaxing. The gardener was inside for an hour putting up curtain rods. Lots of sitting up and chatting. Immediately horizontal when he went to work in the garden. lol. Cherry tree is netted. Weeds pulled. He even fed the cat. Mika will love him forever now.

Just installed a wifi globe in the kitchen. Long overdue. The damn light has been blinding me for years. It finally has a dimmable globe.
