The winter chill has me looking forward to warmer days in the outdoors, where I don't need 20 layers.

Looking forward to heading back to Fontainebleau in 2026. Probably should do some training, to achieve something other than just eating cheese and drinking wine...

This time last year, I was heading to New Zealand with Tourism NZ. One of the highlights was being shown around Whirinaki Forest, an ancient woodland with trees dating back 1,000 years, by Maori guide, Taz. The stories, culture, and nature are completely otherworldly!

It's difficult to visit Japan and not see at least one Tori Gate. These icons are all over the country. But if you want to see the iconic gates at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, you need to set your alarm and get up early to beat the crowds.

Sometimes the hype around a place is real. Milford Sound in New Zealand is definitely one of those places. I was lucky enough to cruise around it and fly over it, but this shot, away from the crowds of the cruise terminal, is one of my favourites.

I'm going to WTM in London for the first time this year! I'll be there all day on Wednesday.

Tourism boards, operators, and brands, I'm open for meetings - please get in touch.

Editors and writers, I'm around for coffee and catch-ups for one of the few times a year I'm in London!

As a self-professed ancient history nerd and a travel lover, there are few places more amazing to me than Pompeii.

I headed here in the off-season, in November, and the weather was still great, and the crowds were way less imposing.

There's something eerily beautiful about a misty forest during the autumn and winter seasons. Newborough Forest on the island of Anglesey in Wales is a spectacular walk that leads to one of the best beaches in the area.

If you're looking for a short but picturesque hike in North Wales, head to Aber Falls. The walk from the car park to the falls is well-paved and relatively short. You can also get the Line 5 bus from Bangor to the Aber Falls Shelter for a slightly longer, car-free hike.

Did you know that you can go on a boat ride on the largest glacier in Aotearoa New Zealand? The Tasman Glacier is a stunning part of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, which is sadly decreasing in size year on year due to climate change.
