I don't want to turn into one of those guys, but I do have to say that there's been an immense psychological benefit to starting up my computer and having it just quietly boot to a clean digital work area without a dozen windows popping up and services starting.

I'm not sure which is worse: that half of what you see is inauthentic bait to farm engagement, or that half of what you see is authentically held beliefs by actual humans.

Right now I'm stuck between wanting to keep having open interactions with fans but also believing that social media is broken beyond repair and the thing you're most likely to get from engaging with it is deeply rooted misanthropy and a hollowed out mortal soul.

But he just kept scrolling, saw him at a hangout randomly shriek at his phone for a half hour.
