All the political players are in Atlantic City this week, and so is our message! New Jersey is facing a fiscal crisis and we can’t afford to wait. Raising progressive revenue from billionaires is fair, sustainable, and popular!

Yes please #NewJersey. Would be a strong statement, in the wake of the damaging ELEC bill from a few years ago.

Unbelievably damaging bill passed by the House
The cruel and costly House budget bill prioritizes a massive trillion-dollar tax break for the wealthiest one percent over health care and food assistance.

“Let me be clear, this is not fiscal responsibility — this is fiscal sabotage," said @nicolenjpp.bsky.social.

An agency told to hit their numbers, or else, can’t take the time to sit around and wait for our family to get cancer medicine. Too slow! Got to keep the assembly line running.
This line is going to stick with me for a very long time.

“One of them is a 4-year-old with Stage 4 cancer who was deported without medication or the ability to contact their doctors…”
Three U.S. citizens, ages 2, 4 and 7, swiftly deported from Louisiana
The cases have renewed concerns that the Trump administration’s expedited deportations are violating the rights of both citizens and noncitizens.

Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago:

—Pioneering cancer researcher;
—*Arrested* at airport in Boston;
—Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana;
—"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research.

Read it.

Without scientist Kseniia Petrova’s expertise, no one can fully unlock the data’s potential, putting crucial advancements in early cancer detection at risk.

Vought is giving big banks and giant corporations the green light to scam families.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has returned over $21 billion to families cheated by Wall Street. Republicans have failed to gut it in Congress and in the courts. They will fail again.
