Cumberland Council made payments of almost £3,000 to the Allerdale Labour Group for refuse collection services in 2023 'as a result of human error'.

The payments were supposed to be made to Allerdale Waste Services but the 'wrong organisation number' was entered into the system.

Quite a long story from me, but I spoke to business owners in Carlisle City Centre about the impact that the ongoing regeneration works have had on their trade.

TL;DR - They've been massively affected and feel unsupported by the council.

@atomfall.com, the new Fallout-esque game set in Cumbria is now out, so how is it?

I've been having a lot of fun playing it, there's mystery, intrigue, and lots to explore. But, it's disappointing that there are no actual Cumbrian accents to be heard.

Almost 3,000 young people under the age of 18 were stopped and searched by #Cumbria Police in three years.
