I'm often struck how so much is made about "preparing kids" to work and learn in ways that, frankly, schools often don't know about & aren't setup to support. 🤷🏼♂️

Did some #ThinkingClassroom work today with solving algebraic equations.
“I’m thinking of a number and if I add five to that number then multiply the whole thing by 2 the answer is 16. What’s the number I’m thinking of?”

Photography class took photos.
English class wrote descriptive paragraphs about the images.
I partnered with the teachers to run the descriptions through an AI image generator.
The results were put on display at the end of the semester art show.

The other physics teacher at my school noticed that when you graph projectile trajectories for a fixed launch speed at various angles, the parabolas produce a nice envelope which we could tell was ALSO a parabola. We'd never noticed that before! #ITeachPhysics
